Following the introduction of the first Offshore in 1993 (42 mm), Audemars Piguet introduced references 25807 and 25808 in 1996, with significantly more refined dimensions:

These proportions make the 25808BA remarkably wearable, even under a cuffed shirt, without losing the distinctive Offshore DNA.
The Jaeger-LeCoultre caliber 2127/2827
The heart of the 25808BA is the caliber 2127/2827, developed by Jaeger-LeCoultre exclusively for Audemars Piguet (JLC ref. 891/447).
This automatic Movement to the 11½-line family and has a historical link with the Audemars Piguet reference 5516 from 1955, the first full calendar with central date in watch history.
